Avia.ge sets very little of its own. Most of what lands in your browser here comes from Google, which serves the sponsored results.
What we set ourselves
Your search — route, dates, cabin and passengers — travels in the address bar, not in a cookie. That is why a search link works when you share it. We set no cookies of our own; the advertising and analytics cookies below are Google’s.
Local storage, not cookies
Two small things are kept in your browser’s local storage, which is not sent to any server: your last five searches (voyara:recent-searches), shown on the home page so you can rerun them in one tap, and the time of your last Aviaesim hand-off (voyara:esim-handoff), which keeps the eSIM box on the search form ticked only once a day. Both can be cleared with your browser’s site data, and each recent search has its own remove button.
- The sponsored block inside the results is a Google Programmable Search Engine. Google sets its own cookies to serve and measure those ads.
- On the other pages — home, deals, explore, help, about and these legal pages — Google AdSense may place advertisements. Its script sets cookies to choose and count them, and may show personalised ads unless you turn that off with Google.
- We advertise this site through Google Ads and measure visits with Google Analytics 4, so every page loads Google’s measurement tag (gtag). It sets cookies such as _gcl_au, _ga, _ga_* to tell Google when a visit that started from one of our advertisements led to a search, and to count pages viewed and searches made in aggregate — it does not read your searches themselves.
- What Google collects and how to control it is described in Google’s policy for partner sites.
- Ad personalisation can be switched off at adssettings.google.com without leaving this site broken.
Partners you click through to
When you open a fare, you land on an airline or agent’s own site. From that point their cookie policy applies, not ours.
Third-party images
Destination photos, country flags and the eSIM banners are stored on and served from this site. The one exception is airline logos, which load from our flight data partner’s image service; loading an image tells that service your IP address, as any web image does, and it sets no cookies through this site.
Turning cookies off
Every browser can block or clear cookies in its settings. Blocking them does not stop you searching here — the sponsored block and any AdSense placements simply stop loading. Ad personalisation can also be switched off for your Google account without blocking anything.
