Privacy policy

What we do not collect

We take no bookings, so we never see passenger names, passport details or payment information. Those are entered on the provider’s site, after you leave ours. We have no accounts, so there is no profile to build.

What a search involves

• Your route, dates, cabin and passenger count are in the page URL. They are sent to our flight data partner to fetch fares, and are not stored against you.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, time, requested page — for security and troubleshooting.
• Your IP is passed to the flight search partner with a search, because fares and availability differ by country.

Who else receives data

• Our flight data partner — supplies fares, airport data and the click-through to providers. Your route, dates and IP reach them with every search.
• Google — serves the sponsored block in the results. Google receives the search query for that block and sets its own cookies. See Cookies.
• Aviaesim — the sponsored eSIM banner links out to aviaesim.com. Its photo is served from this site, so nothing about you is sent until you click it.
• Google AdSense — on pages other than the flight results, Google’s ad script may place advertisements. Google may use cookies and your IP address to select and measure them; the Cookies page says how to opt out. See Cookies.
• Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 — every page loads Google’s measurement tag, which reports page views, searches and clicks on ads that led here. Google receives your IP address and a cookie identifier; we see only aggregate counts. See Cookies.

What stays in your browser

A few conveniences are stored in your browser’s local storage and never leave it: your last five searches, shown on the home page; the time of your last Aviaesim hand-off, so the “show me eSIM deals” box is only ticked once a day; and nothing else. Clearing site data in your browser removes them, and the site works exactly the same without them. Your approximate country, guessed from your IP to prefill the departure airport, is used once and not stored.

Retention

We keep no database of visitors. Server logs held by our hosting provider are rotated automatically, typically within thirty days. Search records kept by our flight data partner are aggregated into route statistics and are not tied to a person.

Children

Avia.ge is a search tool for travellers of any age, but it is not aimed at children and collects no information from them. Bookings, where age matters, are made on the provider’s site.

Where your data goes when you click a fare

Choosing a fare opens the airline or agent’s own site. From that point their privacy policy governs everything you enter.

Your rights

Write to hello@avia.ge to ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it. Because we keep no accounts, this usually concerns server logs only.
